  • Construction of a 2.2km railway balloon siding

  • Appointment as the responsible person under Section 16(2) of the Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • Development of risk assessments and safe working procedures
  • Compliance monitoring and enforcement
  • Project documentation and reporting

the result

The balloon siding development, able to accept 100 tons per wagon trains, enhanced Transnet’s operational flexibility and efficiency at the Port of Saldanha export terminal, reducing cycle times and improving throughput capacity for bulk materials.
